Angela worked on her first sustainability project 23 years ago, synthesising key chemical ingredients from renewable resources. Since then, she has worked on dozens of sustainability projects, in various sectors and functions. Angela found that once she started to make sustainable changes to products, services or processes, she then saw more and more opportunities. They were often quick wins and ultimately commercially sensible choices.

When Angela first started working in the Optical industry, 7 years ago, she was laughed at by account managers for asking them to reduce the amount of tertiary packaging they used for samples and stock. Much has changed since then. Angela is delighted to see every supplier now being proud of the positive changes they’re making. Let’s use this conference to collaborate on ideas we can implement industry-wide that will add up to a huge net improvement.
