Alessandra is the co-owner and the vice-president of VANNI, together with her husband Giovanni Vitaloni, an independent eyewear designer brand founded nearly 40 years ago. VANNI is committed to high quality Made in Italy manufacturing, operating in over 45 countries, and has become a “Società Benefit” in 2021, pursuing objectives of common benefit together with those of profit, monitoring the social and environmental impacts it generates. Alessandra acts as the Impact Manager for the company.

Andreea Ioana Neagu is a passionate advocate for people-powered sustainability and the psychology of change. As Global Sustainability Ecosystem Engagement Manager at HOYA Vision Care, she believes that lasting transformation begins not with targets, but with mindsets, and that real progress happens when individuals feel empowered to lead from where they are.

Andreea is one of the founding members of the One Vision Platform, HOYA’s global approach to sustainability, and the leader of a thriving ambassador network of over 100 changemakers across departments. Together, they drive meaningful action in environmental stewardship, community engagement, and workplace wellbeing.

With a global outlook grounded in the wisdom of local practices, Andreea brings heart, strategy, and a deep curiosity about human behaviour to every conversation. Her work is rooted in connection, collaboration, and the belief that when people shift how they see the world, they can change it.

Andrew has a rich history in environmentalism overlapping into optics. With an MSc in Ecology & Environmental Management, Andrew spent years as a multi-award-winning independent filmmaker working with government agencies, charities and communities addressing some of the most pressing issues at the crossroads of environment and society.

Meanwhile, he was a part of his family’s business, Practice Building, delivering support to the independent optical sector in all manners of business and communications. In 2023 Andrew co-founded the not-for-profit organisation Net Zero Eyecare with the mission of steering the optical industry towards meaningful sustainability, and has been delivering the Optician-Award-Winning Net Zero Optics programme to a wide range of businesses, from Practices to Suppliers and Manufacturers, ever since. In 2025, Andrew became a Co-Founder of Frame The Future - The Responsible Eyewear Alliance, along with Johanna Skans and Xenia Glutz von Blotzheim.

Frame The Future seeks to unite the eyewear industry around common standards of sustainability best practice, and to stimulate cooperation and collaboration within the supply chain, to bring about a better, sustainable, tomorrow. He’s a passionate environmentalist with a deep understanding of optics, and is asking you to do no more than your bit to save the world.

Helen is a qualified Dispensing Optician with over 20 years of experience in the optical industry. She has worked with Specsavers since 2011, spending eight years in-store as a Dispensing Optician and Retail Manager before moving into the Support Office. Over the past five years, Helen has contributed across Optics, Domiciliary, and Audiology functions, bringing a broad and strategic perspective to clinical and operational excellence. Currently completing her MBA at University College Dublin’s Smurfit School, Helen also holds a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge. She is deeply passionate about the future of the optical industry and the role sustainability plays in improving outcomes for both patients and colleagues.
